I would have batted first but we’ve got to bowl well and make use of the new ball. Roach, Seales and Mayers are out through injury. Marquino Mindley and Devon Thomas make their debuts. Anderson Phillip comes in.

We’re going to have a bat. Traditionally that’s what we like to do here. If you bat really well. You can set the game up. Pitch looks the same as every other year. I’ve had a bit more time to get around the captaincy this year. I look forward to the opportunity this week. Unfortunately Hazlewood was pulled out last night. I’m not entirely sure of his availability for South Africa. But Neser bowled really well last year so we’re thrilled to have him back.
